Final-year undergraduate and TAFE NSW students from any field of study are invited to apply for the Greater Cities Commission’s inaugural eight-week internship program.

Running from July to September 2023, the theme for this year’s program is ‘Cities for women are cities for everyone’.

Delivered in partnership with the NUW Alliance, selected interns will help to shape the future of our cities by working on big issues like housing affordability, green space development and equitable infrastructure.

Interns will gain practical experience and skills, work with strategic thinkers across government departments and contribute their insights and ideas to improve the planning of our cities.

The program includes workshops, expert presentations, site visits, guidance on research processes and feedback, and will culminate in a team presentation to senior Commission staff and university partners.
