The Commission brings together six cities to create a globally competitive multi-city region. The Six Cites Region encompasses the following cities:
- Lower Hunter and Greater Newcastle
- Central Coast
- Illawarra-Shoalhaven
- Western Parkland
- Central River
- Eastern Harbour.
